Adding a Template
Use the Templates window to establish when you are available to work. If you work in more than one location, use the global template or add a different availability template for each location. Once you have added a template, you can maintain it using the Templates window.
To Add a Template:
-
Go to Availability > Templates.
Availability Templates window displays. Scope is Global by default. -
If a template is for only one location, select the location from the drop-down list.
Use the following guidelines to help you decide whether a template should be global or local.
Global Template | Local Template |
Use a Global template when availability is the same at most or all locations you are assigned to. This quickly puts your availability into all locations at one time. | Use a Local template when availability is specific to just one location. Local availability overrides Global availability for that one location. |
Example: You are assigned to work at multiple locations and you do not want to work on Sundays at most locations. There is one location that is convenient to work at on Sunday afternoons, so you change availability for Sunday afternoons at that one location. |
-
Select the check boxes of the days you are available. If you can work every day, select check boxes for all days.
-
Select a Priority using the drop-down list. 1 indicates a low interest in working and 9 indicates it is a high priority, i.e., you would especially like to work this day.
-
Enter Available times. If not available ALL DAY, select From and To times you are available in each day.
Note: Your chances of being scheduled to shifts are greater the more available you are for work and the higher the priority. -
(Optional) Enter PreferredĀ times.
Remember: You can set Global availability as well as availability at each location. -
Select Save.
