Maintaining a Template

Use the Templates window to make changes to your global availability as well as to edit location availability. Once you establish availability for a location, you can edit the information in the Templates window. The automatic scheduling process uses your availability when it assigns you to shifts in a schedule.

Note: Some organizations have schedulers enter availability in the Location portal. Other organizations have employees enter their availability in the Employee portal. Some organizations, such as colleges and universities, do a combination of both to accommodate employee changing schedules as semester class schedules change.

If you cannot enter or edit your availability, contact your scheduler to have changes or corrections made.

To Maintain a Template:

  1. Go to Availability > Templates.
Templates window displays. Scope is Global by default.

  2. To edit availability for a specific location, select the location using the drop-down list.
Scope displays either Global or Local to indicate you are editing Global availability or availability for a location.

  3. Select the check boxes of the days you are available. If you can work every day, select check boxes for all days.

  4. Select a Priority using the drop-down list. 1 indicates a low interest in working and 9 indicates it is a high priority, i.e., you would especially like to work this day.

  5. Enter Available times. If not available ALL DAY, select From and To times you are available in each day.
Remember: Your chances of being scheduled to shifts are greater the more available you are for work and the higher the priority.

  6. (Optional) Enter PreferredĀ times.
Remember: You can set Global availability as well as availability at each location.

  7. Select Save. See the following:
