Calendar Overview

Using the Calendar

The Calendar page displays your scheduled shifts for each of the stations and locations you are assigned to. You can also display time entered. Calendar Options allow you to display shifts available for swap, company events, your leave, and your availability in one consolidated view. If you would like to refer to window examples, see Calendar. Refer to the following How To's:

Display Options

Go to Calendar > Options to select from the list of options you can display.

  • Schedule — blue indicates a shift you are scheduled to work.

  • Time — green indicates you have submitted time for a shift you worked.

  • SwapBoard — rose indicated the number of shifts available to claim on the SwapBoard. To claim, you must pass a check.

  • My Leave — brown indicates you submitted a leave request and indicates its status.

  • Availability — yellow indicates the times when you are available to work.

  • Events — purple indicates an event is scheduled.

Shift Borders

Borders highlight shifts in your Calendar so you can quickly distinguish the following:

  • Gold — you placed a shift on the SwapBoard and it has not yet been claimed. If you split a shift into two shifts and then swap each shift, a gold border displays around each of the split shifts. When one or both shifts are claimed, they no longer display on your Calendar.

  • Green — you are trying to trade a shift you are assigned to work and have placed it on the SwapBoard. A green border displays around a shift that you are willing to either swap or trade.

  • No Border — you are scheduled to work a shift and have approved it. When you approve the shift, a check displays in the check box in left corner and the border disappears.

  • Red — you are assigned to work a shift but have not yet approved it.
Note: While most organizations require that you approve shifts you are scheduled to work, not all organizations do so. If your organization does not, a shift displays in your Calendar as already approved, i.e., no border and a check in the check box it indicate it is automatically approved.
