Placing a Shift on the SwapBoard
Use the My Schedule or Calendar windows to place a shift that you are assigned to work, but do not want to work, on the SwapBoard. By doing so, you can try to find another employee to work the shift instead of you. The transaction is a swap.
To Place a Shift on the Swap Board:

Go to Schedule> My Schedule and locate the shift you want to swap.
My Schedule window displays.
OR
Go to Calendar and select a shift.
Pop-up window displays -
Select .
Swap window displays.
Note: You can choose to swap a shift whether or not it is approved. However, you are responsible for the shift until another employee claims it. -
Select the radio button for Swap. It is the default.
Note: If you selected the radio button for Either or Trade, see Trading a Shift. -
On the Swap Shift window, select a Reason using the drop-down list. If this drop-down list displays, you must select a reason, but only the Scheduler sees the reason. Employees do not see the reason on their SwapBoard when they see the shift is available.

Select Swap With: anyone or a specific employee.
Explanation:
Anyone - puts the shift on the SwapBoard of all employees who are able to work at that station.
Choose one Employee - the organization controls whether you can do this type of direct swap. If you are allowed, you select one employee name from the drop-down list. It contains only the names of other employees who are able to work at that station. Then, once an employee name is selected, the shift is placed on that employee's SwapBoard. Only that employee sees it.Note: The Schedules section provides two useful tabs: Coworkers lists of employees by location and their contact information so you can contact a potential replacement. All shows you the full schedule so you can see which employees are already scheduled to work.

Select Save to place the shift on the SwapBoard.
displays in the Actions column. The shift is still on your schedule. When it is claimed, it no longer displays in your schedule. -
